Mary O’Neill

Mary has worked in educational publishing for 19 years. After working as a bilingual dictionary editor at Oxford University Press, she went on to manage the development of multilingual databases for language-technology clients such as Philips and Seiko. She also prepared dictionary and reference material for Oxford Reference Online.

She has worked as a freelance editor and multimedia project manager for OUP, Pearson and Heinemann. In 2005, Cadogan Guides published her children’s travel guide to Ireland. She is fluent in French (in which she has an MA) and maintains a passionate interest in the writing process in all its contexts.
